The 21th of December, it was Yule, an ancient celtic holiday, a day of Winter Solstice.

Gaulish pendant

Finally, I have received my new pendant with the inscription on Gaulish from Eluveitie Online Shop.
This is exact replica of a 2000 years old pendant as it was found in archaeological excavation in France.
The incription on it says: "Geneta imi daga vimpi", that signifies "I'm a good and beautiful girl".
This thing is really unique.

Winter, spring and summer passed, time passed.
Circle of life have closed, led us to it's beginning.
It's unusual, but this is first time of my life when I don't feel melancholy because of autumn and winter. Who knows, why?..

Forgotten stories of Porussia.

Today in Kaliningrad region, in Ushakovo village, where Brandenburg Castle is situated, took place historical festival "Forgotten Stories of Porussia". There were historical reenactment, folk music, costumes, interesting things for sale,  theatrical performance, food... 

I have managed to take a picture of this guy with bagpipes. Unfortunately, he was leaving so I didn't take a picture when he played. 

Strange guests had appeared before thetrical performance began...

Learn Gaulish!

Just have found some Gaulish phrases, that were on different things taken from  archeologic excavations.
This ancient dead language now is represented only by several dozen words and some phrases. And a few songs by my favorite Eluveitie band!
Here are they:

The Power of Flower

He was a scientist before he died and became a personification of Blacklight virus. He had managed to create the Blacklight sample, that he used as treat to Gentek and Blackwatch, because their methods and actions were terrible.

New camera!

I have got a new camera today. It's Nikon D3100 with 18-55 VR. I actually don't know, how my new camera works xD I hope I will find it out soon.
All my previous photos were took by Samsung ES60. It's a very good digital camera. I didn't have any blame for it. It was serving me about 4.5 years and still in good fettle. But when I was in Crimea I found a little mantis. Very little. I began to take a pictures of it on the ground, but then I asked Nik to take it on a finger. When I was taking pictures of this mantis, it slowly crawled on my hand. I screamed and throw away my Samsung ES60 (when I was a child, I lived in Kazakhstan. Once I found very big green mantis, and when I tried to grab it, it bit me. It was painful and fearful for me). But this little mantis was on my other hand... -__- So, now my Samsung has only one defect - black      translucent little spots on pictures, that I take by it. Sad...
But now I have Nikon and my photos will be more better! :)))

Best shots of Ukraine - Part 3.1, Crimea Ancient.

My favorite part - is about ancient times of Crimea. Here will Khan Palace in Bakchisaray, Genoese Fortress in Balaklava, cave city of Middle Ages Eski-Kermen and, of course, ruins of Chersonesos!
Let's go.

1. First pictures will represent Genoese Fortress Chembalo in Balaklava. This fortress appears in 14 century near Balaklava Bay. Now there are only ruins of three towers, situated on the hills.
